The Oxford Approach to Therapy

I use an integrative approach to implement effective psychotherapy methods and tools to help clients move forward. My points of entry within our conversation comes from a narrative, systemic and martial art philosophy perspective. However, I do have other influences to help us to continuous grow together, such as:

  • Lived Experinces

  • Experiential and humanistic therapies

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Somatic therapies

  • Collaborative therapies

I aim to instill self-understanding, awareness and independence among clients to better transition through times of difficulty, healing and to reach  a level of acceptance. You will be provided with the necessary support  to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations. It is essential to keep in mind that therapy involves you and your level of commitment and patience with the process. There is no magic or quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the clients and caretaker alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.
